Today Critical Mass Budapest will again organize a large scale ride to promote and celebrate bicycling, and to raise awareness about the mass demand for better conditions represented by bicyclists, who choose this environmentally friendly form of transport as an alternative to motor vehicles

Air chaos

Mon vol annuler le vendredi. Bien que l'espace aérien hongrois a été fermé, pas encore, mais à Berlin Schönefeld ne pouvait pas atterrir. Notre date de Voyage a été déplacé au samedi, mais nous n'avions aucun espoir. On est même arrivé de cette façon. Du vendredi soir, la quasi-totalité de l'Europe avait un tranquillité. Et comme c'est le cas. Le week-end prochain, je suis en voyage dans un parc national dans l'est de la Hongrie, je ne pouvais pas remplacer mon billet. Alors, je dois aller travailler:)



Mein Flug hat am Freitag gestricht. Obwohl die ungarischen Luftraum war geschlossen, noch nicht, aber in Berlin Schönefeld hat man konnte landen nicht. Unsere Reisetermin hat für Samstag verlegt, doch wir hatten keine Hoffnung. Das hat so gegangen. Von Freitag Abend fast ganz Europe hatte ein Stillstand. Und seitdem ist es genau so. Am nächste Wochenende reise ich in eine Nationalpark in Ost-Ungarn, so konnte ich nicht meine Flugkarte überschreiben. Also muß ich arbeiten gehen :)



My flight cancelled on Friday. Although the Hungarian air space not yet was closed, but in Berlin Schönefeld could not land. Our travel date we moved to Saturday, but we don't had hope. This has gone this way. From Friday evening, almost all of Europe had a standstill. And since it is the case. On the next weekend I am traveling in a national park in eastern Hungary, I could not transfer my ticket. So I have to go to work:)

Berlin

Wegen der Aschewolke des isländischen Vulkans vielleicht kann ich nicht morgen nach Berlin fliegen. Ein Ende des Flug-Chaos ist nicht abzusehen. :(((

Because of the ash cloud of the Icelandic volcano, maybe I can not fly to Berlin tomorrow.:(((

The official First Day of Summer in Iceland isn’t until after two weeks but at the Icelandic Meteorological Office the winter ended on March 31. The 2009-2010 winter season was unusually warm—the temperature was 1.6°C above average in Reykjavík. In Stykkishólmur, west Iceland, the temperature this winter was 1.4°C warmer than average, in Akureyri in the north and Berufjördur in the east it was 0.9°C above the average winter temperature and in the Westman Islands in the south 1.1°C above average. The air pressure was unusually high—8.4 hPa above average in Reykjavík. The air pressure has only been higher on three occasions, in 1823, 1968 and 1969. In south Iceland the winter was rather dry—precipitation measured 215 millimeters in Reykjavík. The winter hasn’t been drier since 1977 when the precipitation measured 111 millimeters. In north Iceland the precipitation was different each month. The overall precipitation measured 234 millimeters in Akureyri this winter, which is 20 percent above average. Akureyri saw record snow layer depth in December. The snow melted in January and then it snowed again in February, while most of March was snow free. Akureyri had 57 days of complete snow cover, 16 fewer than during the average winter. There was very little snow in Reykjavík. The capital only had 13 days of complete snow cover, 31 fewer days than during an average winter.

Around eight million Hungarians are now at 6.00 clock to choose 386 deputies for a new parliament. Public opinion poll expect a strong shift to the right and a change of government. In those individual constituencies where no candidate wins more than 50 percent of the vote, it comes in two weeks (April 25) to a runoff. For the right-conservative Federation of Young Democrats (Fidesz) below its top candidate Viktor Orban is emerging in the polls is a clear victory. Orban was already prime minister from 1998 to 2002. The ruling Hungarian Socialist Party (MSZP) will have to go after eight years in power expected in the opposition. The right-wing party Jobbik (the better) is likely to create for the first time to enter parliament. The polling stations close at 19.00 clock.

Für den rechts-konservativen Bund Junger Demokraten (FIDESZ) unter seinem Spitzenkandidaten Viktor Orban zeichnet sich in den Umfragen ein klarer Sieg ab. Orban war bereits von 1998 bis 2002 Ministerpräsident. Die regierende Ungarische Sozialistische Partei (MSZP) wird nach acht Jahren an der Macht voraussichtlich in die Opposition gehen müssen. Die rechtsextreme Partei Jobbik (Die Besseren) dürfte erstmals den Einzug ins Parlament schaffen. Die Wahllokale schließen um 19.00 Uhr.
